"IoT-Based Smart Medicine Reminder and Emergency Alert System"

In today’s fast-paced world, elderly and chronically ill patients often face challenges in remembering to take their medicines on time. This project presents an IoT-based Smart Medicine Reminder and Emergency Alert System designed to provide timely medicine reminders and ensure prompt alerts during emergencies. The system uses an ESP8266 microcontroller connected to the Blynk IoT platform, allowing users or caretakers to schedule up to four medicine reminders per day through a mobile app. Each scheduled reminder activates an LED indicator, buzzer, and displays the medicine name on a 16x2 I2C LCD display. An emergency push button is included in the system, which, when pressed, immediately triggers an alert notification to a predefined Telegram bot, ensuring quick response during critical situations. The entire setup is powered by a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery, making it portable and suitable for home or elderly care environments. This project offers a reliable, cost-effective, and user-friendly solution for improving medication adherence and enhancing patient safety.
