"IoT-based LPG gas leak monitoring system with Auto cut-off mechanism"

LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is extensively used as a primary energy source in households and industries. However, accidental gas leaks can lead to severe hazards, such as fire and explosions. To address these risks, this project introduces an IoT-enabled LPG gas leak monitoring and auto-cutting mechanism using the ESP8266 microcontroller and the Blynk platform for real-time monitoring and notifications.
The system utilizes a gas sensor to continuously monitor the environment for LPG leaks. Upon detecting a leak, the following actions are executed:
Real-Time Alert: An alert is sent to the owner through the Blynk app, enabling remote monitoring and rapid action.
Automatic Regulator Cut-Off: A servo motor is activated to close the LPG regulator, preventing further leakage.
Exhaust Fan Activation: An exhaust fan is turned on to disperse leaked gas and reduce hazards.
The system also includes an LCD display to provide real-time status updates locally. By integrating IoT capabilities, the solution ensures enhanced safety, convenience, and scalability. The Blynk app not only provides immediate notifications but also allows remote system monitoring, making it a user-friendly and efficient safety solution for residential and industrial environments.
